Occupational therapy-specific views will then be explored, followed by suggestions of practical actions for translating awareness of planetary health and environmental sustainability into occupational therapy education and practice.

The WHO describes Climate Change as "the greatest threat to health in the world today... it affects physical and mental health....food systems, and livelihoods... threatens health workforce and infrastructure and reduces the capacity to provide universal health coverage. " With this in mind it should be front of centre of our planning yet many Occupational Therapists do not know how or feel unprepared to implement sustainable changes in their their working practices.
