Simon is an HCPC registered Clinical Scientist and Chartered Engineer with 35 years experience in the field of assistive technologies. He is the co-founder and Technical Director of Rahana Life, a company dedicated to bringing the best Assistive Technology products to the UK market for those with an upper limb impairment. Simon has 20 years of experience of working in the NHS, where he managed a range of assistive technology services. He managed the Rehabilitation Engineering Services across the West Midlands and a Regional Posture and Mobility Service. As part of his portfolio, he specialised in assessment and provision of mobile arm supports, specialist seating and wheelchairs. As Director of the Health Design & Technology Institute in Coventry University, Simon led a team of Assistive Technology experts who supported businesses in creating user centred products and services, undertook pioneering research and provided graduate teaching on rehabilitation engineering and assistive technology.
