Marney Walker

Marney is an independent occupational therapist who specialises in advising on the design of inclusive and accessible housing. Central to her practice is an interest in the impact of environment on behaviour and wellbeing. She is co-author of Adaptations Without Delay. She has an MA in Design Research for Disability and developed the Housing LIN resource: Occupational Therapists: helping to get the housing design right. She is the lead peer reviewer on the Habinteg and RIBA publication Inclusive Housing Design Guide. Marney is currently completing her doctoral research at Lab4Living, Sheffield Hallam University exploring the expression of everyday aesthetic preferences in dementia, through design.
