Julie trained & qualified 1978-1981, Liverpool. She has worked in a wide range of settings and specialties over her 40 years of being an Occupational Therapist. Her first post was rotational at The Younger Disabled Unit, then in-patient mental health. Fazakerley Hospital Liverpool. 1982-1990 Julie progressed from Senior 2 to Deputy District Head . Mental Health in and out-patients. Sutton and Merton Health Authority. 1992-1993 Research Post in a multi-disciplinary team, physical health with the results being discussed in parliament and presenting at the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Southport and Formby Hospital. 1993-2005 Senior 1/Head iv Adult Physical Rehabilitation Day Hospital. Neurological, multi-pathology, amputees etc. Southport and Formby Trust. 1994-95 Lecturer, part time, sixth form college. 2005-2020 Band 7 Community Rehabilitation Service becoming Team Lead Neuro services. Lancashire Care Foundation Trust, Southport and Formby region. Julie is highly experienced with a wealth of experience. and has continued learning throughout her career. She is passionate about Occupational Therapy and has promoted this throughout her career.
