Jain is an OT with 34 years in the profession, with the past 20 years focussed on vocational rehabilitation (VR). Jain has trained 100’s of OTs and other professionals in VR internationally, has written a book on the subject and has worked in many different VR and Occupational Health sectors. She now spends her time as a researcher at the University of Nottingham embedded in investigating VR. Jain has volunteered with the RCOT Specialist Section Work for 2 decades in various roles including chair. Jain’s current research is situated within the” return to work after trauma (serious injury) – ROWTATE” study (rowtate.org.uk) under the guidance of professor Kate Radford (OT) and professor Denise Kendrick (GP). Her research has been focussed on designing VR training, which included teaching and mentoring, OTs and Clinical Psychologists, testing their competency to deliver the experimental ROWTATE VR and measuring the intervention fidelity. Jain now lives in the Scottish Highlands, working part time and still searching for that elusive work-life balance!
