Florence qualified as a physiotherapist from The University of Ulster in 1995 and worked primarily in the NHS in musculoskeletal health. Through her experiences as a team leader and a service user, she discovered that, whilst good, clinical knowledge and skills are vital, it is one’s attitude towards values, professionalism and accurate self-reflection, that can bring both a deeper job satisfaction and excellent patient care. For the past 2 years, she has been working as a Professional Liaison Consultant in the HCPC supporting registrants and employers to develop cultures and practises where registrants can value and enhance their professionalism.
