This popular practical course is designed to enable staff to assess for and prescribe major adaptations including level access showers, ramps and stairlifts and to know when to refer a more complex case to an OT.

Learners learn to use clinical reasoning and think about the person’s needs, their home and family environment. They address what matters to the person and consider a range of common solutions. The course is ideal for teams involved in providing solutions using Disabled Facilities Grants and equivalent programmes who want to handle simple cases without the need for referral.
