The Walk Safe is the first walking frame to offer clinically proven stability (Thies et al, BMC Geriatr.2023).
It is more than twice as stable as a traditional front-wheeled walking frame during turning. We believe this will reduce the risk of falls amongst walking frame users.
The Walk Safe features swivelling front wheels with (patented) magnetic bias and unique rear glides with an integral brake, which enables the user to turn and cross thresholds without picking up the frame. This ensures stability at all times and enourages a natural, fluid walking gait. The magnetic biased wheels ensure straight-line stability.
It also features lower handles that assist a user in sit-to-stand, especially when getting up from a chair without arms, It is height and width adjustable, making it easy to fit a wide range of users, and has been designed to be very durable, allowing the product to be re-issued to multiple users.
