This presentation explores the transformative role of occupational therapy in creating enabling educational environments for children with autism. Drawing on the Autism in Schools project in Trafford Manchester, the session highlights collaborative strategies used to adapt physical spaces and teaching practices to meet sensory and developmental needs. Attendees will learn about the collaborative strategies used to bridge the gap between theory and practice, resulting in environments that empower students with autism to thrive academically and socially.
