As Occupational Therapists we observe our clients’ completing tasks and review how they interact with their environment and design interventions that support them to complete the activities they need or choose to do, we can therefore be effective in bridging the gap between the functional aspects of design and our clients lived experience, which is an essential component of product design.

We will discuss how occupational therapists can collaborate with our clients and manufacturers to influence excellence in design.
