The Occupational Therapy Show Wins ‘Best UK Trade Show’ at the British Healthcare Trades Industry Awards 2024
The Occupational Therapy Show 2023 earned the prestigious ‘Best UK Trade Show’ award, as voted by BHTA members, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the healthcare and assistive technology industry. The British Healthcare Trades Industry Award ceremony took place on Friday 29 November, at the Grand Hotel Birmingham.
The 2023 Occupational Therapy Show set a new benchmark for excellence in collaboration and knowledge exchange for the sector. The show celebrated its largest delegate audience to date and a 7% growth in revenue, hosting over 200 exhibitors, 98 expert speakers, 128 CPD-certified sessions, and thousands of OT professionals over two interactive days.
Highlights included a Poster Zone showcasing cutting-edge research and an Elizabeth Casson Trust's 75th-anniversary video competition.
New additions at the event included an ‘Institute of Registered Case Managers Roadshow’ and a praised show app, along with improved accessibility features like an 'Able OT and Quiet Room’ for attendees.
The Occupational Therapy Show is a leading annual national event for occupational therapists, case managers, clinical leads, consultants and those who work with equipment service teams.
Exhibitors include suppliers and manufacturers of access equipment, adaptations, communications, sensory products, professional development, education, professional services, consultancy, furniture, government bodies, associations, charities, healthcare & rehabilitation services, mobility and transport, and daily living aids.
The CPD-certified conference programme provides OT professionals with the latest updates from international healthcare organisations such as the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, the World Health Organisation, NHS England and NHS Improvement.
Shelley Williams, Group Event Director said: “It is a great honour to accept this prestigious award. I would like to thank my whole team for their dedication and hard work in helping to make the Occupational Therapy Show such a success. I would also like to thank all the loyal exhibitors and delegates who love and attend the event yearly.”
